The FIFA World Cup 2026™ marked a defining moment for soccer in Canada. Together, we witnessed our Men’s National Team make history, advancing to the Round of 16 at a home World Cup while inspiring millions of Canadians and demonstrating what’s possible when a country rallies behind the beautiful game.
But this was never just about one tournament. It was about building a stronger future for soccer in Canada.
The Canada Soccer Foundation exists to create a stronger future for soccer in Canada by investing in the people and programs that make our game thrive. From increasing access for young players and supporting coaches and referees to strengthening our National Teams and high-performance pathways, we’re helping ensure the momentum created by this historic moment becomes a lasting legacy.
Thanks to the generosity of Canadians from across the country, we’ve established a new culture of philanthropy in Canadian soccer, one that will continue to grow, create opportunity, and strengthen the game for generations to come.

The FIFA World Cup 2026™ marked a once-in-a-generation moment for soccer in Canada, one made possible by decades of work from players, coaches, volunteers, clubs, officials, administrators, supporters, and communities who have helped build the game across the country. Thanks to that foundation, and to the extraordinary generosity of Canadians from coast to coast to coast, the Canada Soccer Foundation has surpassed its $25 million Canada Rising campaign goal, creating the largest philanthropic investment in the history of Canadian soccer.
Today, we are building on that legacy. As we look ahead to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ and beyond, we remain committed to growing a sustainable culture of philanthropy that strengthens soccer for generations to come. Together with our supporters, we are investing in three critical priority areas that will continue to shape the future of the game in Canada:
